Below are the most commonly asked questions we get here at GRF. Please feel free to read over them, if you have additional questions don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Do you health test your dogs?

At our facility, we prioritize the health and well-being of our dogs. That's why every dog in our

program undergoes thorough genetic testing before being selected. This ensures that we maintain the highest standards for our breeding practices and contribute to the overall quality of our program. Your trust in us is built on our commitment to responsible breeding. All test preformed on our dogs can be found under their picture in the " Meet our Dogs" section.

Do you offer a Health Warranty on your puppies?

Our 24-month health guarantee covers genetic concerns, severe hip dysplasia, and temperament. We're dedicated to ensuring you have a happy, healthy companion. You can read more about this under our " Contracts and Information" tab.

Is my puppy dewormed, vaccinated, and offered a health certificate through a certified veterinarian?

We deworm all our puppies biweekly and perform comprehensive parasite checks. Each puppy receives age-appropriate vaccinations along with a health certificate from our veterinarian. We maintain transparency with our buyers by providing all health information in their take-home binders.

Can I meet or visit my puppy before bringing them home?

No. Unfortunately, we do not allow visitors to our farm until pick-up day. We take the health of our puppies very seriously and try to minimize the risks of deadly viruses like Parvo. We send multiple pictures and videos of our puppies to their potential owners and work diligently to help them in puppy selection.

Do your puppies still have their dewclaws?

Dewclaws are your puppy's thumbs, providing grip and stability to their "wrists." Removing them can lead to increased risks of injury, arthritis, muscle atrophy, and alterations in paw structure. We believe that these natural features serve a purpose, which is why we leave them intact.

Are your Labradors English or American?

Our parent dogs are generally 1/2 English 1/2 American, we prefer the look, structure and energy level of these dogs. We have found that this combination is very versatile and can provide multiple task without being too high energy, or too work-shy.

What is your opinion of having them spayed/neutered before 18 months?

We do not believe in spaying/neutering your puppy until they have finished growing, we recommend waiting until at least 18 months or older. There is more information on this in our “Contracts and Information” tab that supports scientific evidence of the issues from early spay/ neuter.

What Food do you feed your puppies?

We feed our dogs and puppies Diamond Brand foods. After careful research, this is the brand of dog food we prefer. We like it not only for its ingredients, but its affordability. We have tried many different brands over the years. Diamond has worked the best for our dogs. We include an entire section in your puppy's take-home binder about feeding schedules and choosing the right puppy food for your puppy.

Will my puppy be socialized?

At our farm, we prioritize the socialization of our puppies to ensure they grow into well-rounded companions. Although they remain on our farm except for necessary vet visits, we engage with them daily, introducing them to new experiences. We utilize Early Neurological Stimulation and the Puppy Culture method, starting from just three days old, to promote their healthy development. Your future puppy will be well-prepared for their new home!

Does my puppy come with registration papers?

Yes. We provide all of our puppies with registration paperwork. And will happily provide pedigrees on them as well.

Do you offer Full Registration/ Breeding rights on your puppies?

No. All puppies will be sold on Limited Registration.

If I can no longer care for my puppy, will you take them back?

YES! We prioritize the well-being of our puppies for their entire lives. No matter their age, we will always welcome them back and ensure they receive the love and care they need. If an owner can no longer care for their pet, we promise to find a safe and loving home without any judgment. The happiness and welfare of the puppy are our utmost priorities.

What is the temperament of your puppies?

At our breeding program, health is a top priority, but we also believe that temperament is equally essential. Our puppies showcase the natural instincts of the Labrador Retriever, making them easy to train and a joy to be around. Known for their intelligence, gentleness, and kindness, these dogs are wonderful additions to any family.

What is the earliest age I can take my puppy home?

The earliest we let puppies go home is 8 weeks of age.

What is your Deposit Policy?

Deposits are NON- REFUNDABLE. Puppies are on a first come basis and are selected in the order in which deposits are received. There is more information on this in our "Puppies" tab.

Can we buy 2 puppies together?

No. Under no circumstances do we sell siblings together. This is due to "Littermate Syndrome”. This can cause puppies to only bond to each other and not their people causing issues with training and behavior. To learn more about this there is a link located in our "Puppies" tab.

Do you ship your puppies?

No. We do not ship our puppies. Puppies are very fragile at such a young age. Shipping them can be a traumatic experience and cause issues with separation anxiety, and other behaviors. Pick up must be done in person.
