Puppy Placement Process and Information
OUR PUPPY PLACEMENT PROCESS
We want bringing home your Green Roof Farm Labrador to be an exciting and simple experience. Here’s how our process works:
1. Apply
Interested families start by completing our Puppy Application. This helps us learn a little about you, your lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a Labrador.
Please note: We do not place two littermates together in the same home.
2. Join Our Litter List
Once your application is approved and we have an upcoming litter that may be a good fit, you’ll have the opportunity to join our litter list.
A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place. Pick order is based on the order deposits are received for your preferred sex and color.
Deposits are accepted electronically through Venmo. Cash deposits may be accepted for local families.
3. Watch Them Grow
Once the puppies arrive, families receive weekly photos, videos, and updates as they grow and their individual personalities begin to develop.
Around 7 weeks of age, we complete temperament and aptitude evaluations to learn more about each puppy’s personality, confidence, energy level, and natural tendencies.
4. Choose Your Puppy
Puppy selections are made on go-home day. You will meet the available puppies that match the sex and color you reserved.
We’ll share what we’ve learned about each puppy and help guide you toward the puppy that may best complement your family, lifestyle, and goals.
5. Go-Home Day
Puppies go home at approximately 8 weeks of age by appointment.
We do not ship puppies. All puppies must be picked up in person.
The remaining balance is due in cash at pickup.
Your puppy will leave GRF with age-appropriate veterinary care, records, AKC registration information, and helpful resources to make the transition home as smooth as possible.
AKC Registration
All puppies are sold with Limited AKC Registration.
Full AKC Registration may be available in the future once the dog meets all breeder requirements outlined in our contract. Full Registration is not guaranteed and is subject to breeder approval.
Review Our Contract
We encourage prospective families to review a copy of our Puppy Purchase & Health Guarantee Contract before committing to a puppy. It provides additional details about our health guarantee, registration, buyer responsibilities, and other policies and can help answer many common questions. We will be happy to send you an electronic copy of our contract.
